User guide for Reuther dictionary examples

There are 3,880 example sentences in Reuther’s Diyari dictionary — — he includes them to illustrate the use of particular words and expressions. We have extracted all these examples and created a web page which lists them. Here are some sample entries in the examples supplement:

The structure of the entries is as follows:

  1. Reference number: for each example we give its location in the Dictionary by referencing the entry number, sub-entry number, and example number, in the format Reuther_entry23-sub2-ex3. This refers to the third example under the second sub-entry of entry 23. Readers can use this information to go back to the main Dictionary (Specialist Edition) to see the example in its context.
  2. Diyari sentence (in green) in the mission spelling
  3. English translation (in brown)
